Current Account Opening
Account opening
Fibank Cyprus Branch offers customers the option to open an individual or joint account (operated jointly by several account owners), by applying directly to the bank or through a Corporate Services Provider licensed in Cyprus.
To open an account, an individual client should provide the Bank with the following documents:
- Valid passport or National Identity Card (original) bearing signature and photo
- Proof of the applicant's permanent residential address. The Bank accepts the following recent (up to three months old) documents: utility bills, a telephone/internet local line bill, a local authority tax bill, house insurance and an original statement of bank account only. For citizens of Russia or the Ukraine, the registered address which appears on the passport would be accepted as evidence of address provided that this address is the permanent residential address.
- Bank reference letter from your bankers
- Current CV
The Bank will request a face-to-face meeting with an individual who has applied to open an account and who is authorized to operate a bank account. During the meeting you will be required to present the above documentation.
To arrange a personal meeting, please fill in this account-opening-questionnaire. You can then send us the form to admin@fibank.com.cy or via our contact form.
The bank may require any other documentation or information it considers necessary in order to fulfil its commitment to perform a complete “Know Your Client” check on its clients.
Please note:
The bank solely reserves the right to decline an application/business relationship for legal, regulatory or any other reason at any time without the need/obligation to justify its decision to decline.
